§ How it works in practice
people is the federation’s register of contacts and accounts. lens, compass, chart and ledger share its account table, so one person has one account across them, although each site still asks you to sign in separately with a link sent by email. rrl has its own sign-in for now.
people holds contact details, notes, segments, Lab affiliation, a Friend tier where one applies, and consent records. It does not hold a Lab’s records, self-assessments or archived documents; those stay in chart, compass and lens. ledger reads the contact list and the list of Labs from people.
Example
A Friend changes their contact preferences through the personal link sent by email.
